The Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) is a BC government-funded program that provides financial assistance toward counselling services for victims, family members, and witnesses who have been affected by traumatic crimes. If you are a victim of a crime that occurred in BC, you could received funding for 24-48 sessions. You are not required to file a police report. Our registered CVAP providers do direct billing for $135 of the session fee and clients are charged the balance as a co-pay. Clients with CVAP claims can also see any Registered Clinical Counsellor of their choice and be reimbursed by CVAP for sessions.
