EMDR Therapy
Provided by our Registered Clinical Counsellors
and Registered Social Workers

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain reprocess painful or overwhelming experiences so they no longer feel so present. In EMDR, you’ll work with a trained therapist to identify target memories and the beliefs, emotions, and body sensations connected to them, then use gentle bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or tones) to support your brain’s natural healing system. Sessions move at a thoughtful pace with strong emphasis on safety, consent, and skills for grounding and regulation. EMDR can help with single-incident and complex trauma, anxiety, grief, phobias, and more. This is a core specialization at our clinic and several of our therapists have advanced EMDR training and experience, so we’ll tailor the approach to your need and goals.
