Meet Shelley
Canadian Certified Counsellor
(Shelley’s pronouns are she/her)
ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
STARTING JULY 2025

Shelley specializes in treating anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, grief and loss, life transitions, and family-related issues. She supports individuals who are navigating emotional challenges or feeling overwhelmed by the demands of daily life. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful therapy begins with a strong, trusting relationship—one where clients feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
Shelley uses an integrated, trauma-informed approach, drawing primarily on Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed therapy, Attachment Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Somatic Interventions.
Her work helps clients explore the impact of past experiences, identify patterns that may no longer serve them, and reconnect with a greater sense of calm, clarity, and self-compassion. She pays careful attention to what the mind, body, and emotions are communicating, while offering practical tools to support lasting well-being.

Before becoming a counsellor, Shelley worked for several years in the business world. That experience gave her a deep understanding of how people often meet external demands while carrying invisible emotional burdens. It also shaped her belief that healing isn’t about starting over—it is about rediscovering the strength and wisdom already within.

Shelley's practice creates a safe, grounded space where all parts of a person are welcome, and where healing can unfold at a pace that feels respectful, steady, and sustainable. She is passionate about walking alongside her clients as they navigate meaningful change, deepen their self-understanding, and reconnect with their innate resilience.
