Registered Clinical Counsellor
and Registered Social Worker

ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS

Katrina has always been drawn to the power of human connection. She's witnessed how our relationships can help us flourish or leave lasting wounds, and this shapes how she practices therapy. She knows that therapy works best when you feel truly seen and understood. If you're looking for a therapist who can sit with you in your emotional pain and also share moments of lightness and laughter, Katrina might be a good fit. She shows up as herself, and over time, she hopes you'll feel you can too.

No matter the reason you're seeking support—whether it's trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, parenting struggles, or something else entirely—there's a common thread: you're stuck in some way and you want to feel better.

As an EMDR Certified Therapist, Katrina specializes in helping people move through what's keeping them stuck. She works with individuals navigating all kinds of relationship structures, attachment wounds, and life transitions. She also has a growing passion for supporting neurodivergent clients, particularly those with ADHD. Her approach is integrative, combining EMDR, DBT, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Parts Work—all tailored to your unique needs and goals. Rather than fighting against the parts of yourself that feel anxious, shut down, or reactive, Katrina helps you understand what they're trying to communicate. These parts developed to protect you. She works with you to help them work together rather than against each other, so you can feel more whole and less at war with yourself.

Katrina is deeply trauma-informed and sees the ways you've survived and adapted to protect yourself. She doesn't assume safety; she recognizes that safety is something built together over time. Her focus is on creating a brave space where you can show up as you are and move at your own pace. Her approach is grounded in warmth, curiosity, empathy, and acceptance. She holds a holistic view of well-being and sees therapy as one powerful part of your healing journey. She works collaboratively with you to explore the roots of what you're struggling with, celebrate your growth, and help you put painful experiences back in the past where they belong.

One of Katrina's favourite parts of being a therapist is witnessing the relief clients feel after an EMDR session, when the grip of their traumatic past finally loosens. She fundamentally believes that you have the innate wisdom and capacity to heal. You're not broken—you're human, and you deserve support as you reconnect with yourself.

Katrina is a registered provider with the Crime Victims Assistance Program (CVAP) and ICBC.
