Meet Patsy
Registered Clinical Counsellor
(Patsy's pronouns are: she/her).
Patsy works with adults and young adults who are struggling with their feelings, relationships, or even life. In face of life's challenges, it is not uncommon to run away from them or fight so hard trying to get rid of them. More often than not, neither way leads to a peaceful mind. Patsy walks together with those in struggle, helping them face their challenges in a direction that aligns more with their values and leads to a more peaceful, meaningful, and satisfying life.
Patsy is trained in mindfulness, EMDR, and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). She is also a mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) teacher. Her recent training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and family therapy widens her angle to understanding human suffering.
Patsy specializes in treating people suffering from depression, anxiety, grief and loss. She is also experienced in working with people struggling with obsessions and compulsions, bipolar disorder, disordered eating, and relationship issues.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Patsy worked in business marketing. To her, every part of her experience helps in her encounter with clients.
Patsy believes that healing starts when we are aware of ourselves, our sensations and feelings, thoughts and values, sufferings and struggles, vulnerabilities and resilience, and our relationships with others and ourselves. From there, Patsy will work with you on the treatment approach, accompany and guide you through the discovery and recovery journey, and prepare you for future challenges.
Patsy offers counselling in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
