Shivani and Dr. Will Panenka’s research team at UBC Psychiatry are studying the effects of yoga on post-concussive syndrome. This study is currently underway. Here are our preliminary results!

We found that our 8-week mindfulness-based, trauma-informed yoga and meditation intervention significantly reduced post-concussion symptoms, and showed a trend toward improved anxiety, depression, and cortisol levels.
